With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julius Merkison of Donalsonville, Georgia, born in Bainbridge, Georgia, who passed away on May 6, 2021 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton "Joe" Merkison and Ruby Braswell Merkison; his son DeWayne Merkison; and his siblings, R. J. Merkison, Betty Jean Dawson and Jack Merkison.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Bennett Merkison of Donalsonville, GA; his children, Anthony Merkison (Shannon) of Loganville, GA, Stephanie Little (Todd) of Naples, FL, Steve Minter (Lisa) of Snellville, GA and Holly Merkison of Germany; his sister Arna Jewel White (Wiley) of Buckhead, GA; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Dawson of Conyers, GA. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.
