With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emma Mary Brunson (Donalsonville, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 15, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Brunson and Mamie Brunson; her daughter Glenda Joann Brunson; her husband Joe Nathan Wooden, Sr.; her son Joe Nathan Wooden, Jr.; and her brother Willie C. Brunson.
She is survived by: her sons, Carlas Wooden (Denise) of Dublin, GA and Vincent Wooden (Kenya) of Covington, GA; her sister-in-law Bessie Brunson of Pensacola, FL; her niece Sabrina Brunson of South Fulton, GA; her friend Flossie Wynn Cook of Pensacola, FL; her grandchildren, Brianna Wooden, Brittney Wooden, Bridgette Wooden, Kierah Wright, Bailey Wooden, Joshua Baxter, Brendan Wooden, Camden Wooden and Catlin Johnson; and her daughters-in-law, Diane Harvey of San Antonio, TX, Lena Baxter of Ashford, AL and Demoya Chapman. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peoples Funeral Home Chapel. The lying in state was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church (221 N Dowling Ave, Donalsonville, GA 39845).
