With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deacon William Groomes of Donalsonville, Georgia, who passed away on October 28, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Groomes and Blonnell Groomes; and his brother James. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Bernard Groomes (Maytress) and Wilma Letitia Groomes (Donnie); his wife Mary Groomes; his grandchildren, Todd, Quinton, Aniyah, Shonn and Shonna; his godson Jerraud; his siblings, Augustine Nobles (Willie), Jeweltine Groomes, Calvine Rollins (Winston), Blonnie Freeman, Betty Carr and Reverend Arthur Groomes (Cindy); his aunt Helen Jefferson (Jeremiah); and his siblings-in-law, Lillian Roberts, Beverly Coffey, Dorothy Brown (Amos) and Richard Isom (Gwellda). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
