He is survived by: his wife Joyce Myrick Shattles of Donalsonville, GA; his stepdaughter Sandra Gaspar of Cairo, GA; his siblings, Doris Griffin (Don) of Iron City, GA, Dorothy Sellars of Climax, GA, Kathy Jenkins (Danny) of Donalsonville, GA, Tommy Shattles (Arlene) of Iron City, GA, Floyd Shattles (Cheryl) of Cairo, GA and Jeffie Shattles (Nancy) of Donalsonville, GA.; his grandchildren, Ashli Glass (Cameron), Alan Wayne Pace and Ryan Wilson Pace; and his great grandchildren, Jana Marie and Luna Sage.
