She was predeceased by: her parents, James B. Lynn and Nettie Chambers Lynn; her husband Walter C. Atkinson, Jr.; her siblings, Juanita Varnum, Montague Lynn and Reuben Lynn; her son Calvin Atkinson, Sr.; and her grandson Calvin Atkinson, Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, Benny Atkinson and Roger Atkinson (Elise); her sister Maxine Roberts; and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Atkinson, Pam Miller and Shirley Lynn. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Atkinson's Home. A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Georgia Hospice Care Carnation Foundation 187 N. Church St. Suite 201 Spartanburg, SC 29306.
