He was predeceased by: his parent Walter Earlie Gay; and his sisters, Martha Taylor and Myra Kimbrell. He is survived by: his parent Ocie Delle Tate Gay; his wife Imogean Williams Gay; his children, Gina West (Lyle) of Moultrie and Walter Ben Gay of Doerun; his granddaughters, Ashley Underwood (Andrew) of Moultrie, Amber Miller of Doerun, Brittany Casteloes (Keith) of Moultrie, Jennifer Sparks (Stephen) of Hahira and Mary Kathryn Barrera (Reno) of Kennesaw; his great grandchildren, Jade Casteloes, Deacon Underwood, Brodi Casteloes, Sadie Underwood, Max Walley, Dawson Sparks, Lexi Grace Miller and Madelyn Miller; his siblings, Mervin Brown (Carol) of Doerun, Marie Saunders (Ray) of Doerun and Merle Gay (Dianne) of Watkinsville; and his brothers-in-law, Mack Taylor and Jerry Kimbrell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Doerun's Senior Adults fund.
