He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Clayton Wingate and Beulah Mae Fowler Wingate; his spouse Danny Hancock Wingate; his sister Aquilla; and his brother-in-law Raye Reynolds.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Wingate Hartley (Ricky) of Moultrie, Jeffery Tony Wingate, Sr. (Celena) of Hartsfield and Edwin Brent Wingate of Doerun; his grandchildren, Dr. William Clayton Hartley of Lexington, KY, Anna Elizabeth Hartley of Moultrie, Jeffery Tony Wingate, Jr. (Summer) of Moultrie and Bridget Morey of Doerun; his great grandchildren, Gage Emory, Addison Odum, Truitt Wingate and Wrenley Wingate; and his caregivers, Regina Toombs and Tytiana Christy (Steve Emory).
