With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mervin Gay Brown of Doerun, Georgia, born in Colquitt, Georgia, who passed away on December 17, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ocie Dell Tate Gay and Walter Earlie Gay; her husband Carol Lee Brown, Sr.; her siblings, Martha Taylor, Marie Saunders, Myra Kimbrell and Max Gay; her parents-in-law, Naomi and Haywood Brown; and her siblings-in-law, Mack Taylor, Ray Saunders, Wayne Brown, Bobby Brown, Hal Brown, Betsy and Ron Meredith.
She is survived by: her children, Jill Brown and Lee Brown (Susan) of Doerun; her grandchildren, Aaron Brown (Ginny), Caleb Brown and Jennifer Brown Stansberry (Victor); her great grandchildren, Jacob Brown, Katie Brown, Malia Cook and Roman Stansberry; her brother Merle (Dianne); and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Kimbrell, Imogene Gay, Jean Brown, Doris Brown and Jackie Brown.
