He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Stephen Smith and Pauline Latrelle Moore Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Charles L. "Buddy" Smith of Doerun and Charlene James of Doerun; his nieces, Laura Martin of Doerun and Camille James of Doerun; his great-niece Emily Martin; and his nephew Ian Martin.
