With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Henry Preston Horne of Doerun, Georgia, born in Colquitt, Georgia, who passed away on October 11, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry Horne and Fannie Mae Thaggard Horne; his wife Bobbie Louise Hancock Horne; his granddaughter Cameron Horne; and his siblings, Pearce Horne and Marjorie Horne Alexander.
He is survived by: his children, Ken Horne (Ericka) of Moncks Corner, SC, Stephen Horne of Doerun and Judy (Mack) of Doerun; his grandchildren, Ashlyn Mullen (T. C.), Shelby Horne and Dalton Horne; and his close friend Jimmy Hiers (Julie Hancock). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
