He was predeceased by: his mothers, Charlie Sumlin and Mattie Mitchell Sumlin; his children, Lucille Sumlin, Shirley Ann Sumlin, Gwendolyn Sumlin and Kenneth Sumlin; and his siblings, Charlie Sumlin Jr., O. B. Sumlin, John Sumlin, Elijah Sumlin, Ozell Sumlin, Robert C. Sumlin, Lawrence C. Williams, Eddie D. Sumlin, Annie Pearl Robinson, Fannie L. Higgins, Madine Pollard, Essie Mae Sumlin, Ethel Lee Mitchell, Alice Mae Mitchell, Annie Grace Brinson and Doretha Coe.
He is survived by: his son Ltd; his wife Jessie L. Sumlin of Doerun, Georgia; his children, Charlie James Sumlin of Doerun, James "Teddy" Sumlin of Doerun, Tony Sumlin (Inge) of Leesburg, Georgia, Ocie B. Richardson of Doerun, Linda Molden (Earnest) of Funston, Janice Brown (Walter) of Dawson and Shelia Sumlin (Willie Lambright) of Funston, Georgia; his adoptive daughter Cindy Jones (Georgia) of Moultrie; his great grandchildren, Tevores Sumlin of Moultrie, Georgia, Ja'Khiya Jones and Janazha Toombs; his nephew Wayne Daniels (Mary Alice) of Doerun, Georgia; his goddaughters, Audrey Bryant of St. George, Willie Joyce Copeland of Doerun, Georgia and Suprina Green (Harry) of Doerun, Georgia; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Ruth Daniels of Doerun, Georgia. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
