He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Judson Sr. and Belle Bleckley Grist; and his brothers, Herschel J. Grist Jr. and Douglas Grist. He is survived by: his wife Carron Grist of Dillard, Georgia.; his daughters, Traci Grist Rob, Missi Mermelstein (Evan), Sheri Sands (Eric) and Cindy Fricks (Gary); and his grandchildren, Tripp, Kali, Kyle and Parker.
