He was predeceased by: his parents, Greene Alonza Taylor and Dorothy Raine Taylor; and his brothers, Jack Donovan and G. A. Taylor Jr. (Bucky). He is survived by: his wife Frances Hackett Taylor; his children, Joseph Raine Taylor Jr. (Elizabeth), Rebekah Taylor Cross (Jim) and Joyce Taylor Oliver; his sister Ann Lee; and his grandchildren, Taylor Cross, Luke Cross, Ann Cross Murphy, Clay Taylor and Kathryn Taylor. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
