Jo Smith Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jo Smith (Dillard, Georgia), who passed away on August 5, 2019 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Phocian Shipp and Lela Vandiver Shipp; and her siblings, Ferrell Shipp, Ruby Mae Reed, Erlene Hobby and Jeri Wiedman.

She is survived by: her husband Thomas Smith of Dillard, GA; her children, Thomas Craig Cole (Kimberly) of Freeport, FL, Jennifer Cole Knight (David) of Atlanta, GA and Mary Evangeline Barnett of Orlando, FL; her stepdaughter Michelle Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; her sister Patsy Kinney of Jacksonville, FL; her grandchildren, Joe Knight (Sarah), Lila Knight, Charlie Barnett, Jake Barnett, Sam Barnett, Benton Cole and Gavin Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Shepherd Knight and Lewis Knight.

Memorial donations can be made in Jo's memory to Mountain City Methodist Church.
