He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hampton Vinson and Pearl Dowdle Vinson; and his siblings, Bennie Vinson, Don Vinson, Wenona Vinson, Edith Vinson, Evelue Vinson, Jessie Roberts and Aletha LaCount.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Enloe Vinson; his children, Jeff Vinson (Dedra) of Dillard and Lisa Vinson Harris (Jeff) of Dillard; his siblings, Wilton Vinson, Selma Green, Lucille Green and Betty Dewberry; his grandchildren, Tyler Vinson Harris, Molly Vinson, Meredith Vinson and Lauren Brown (Clay); and his great grandchild Brooks Harris Brown.
