He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Thompson Thomas; his parents, Charlie Thomas and Annie Grace Thomas; his son James Thomas; and his brother Charles Hill Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond Thomas (Nancy) of Dudley, Jan Brown of Grovetown and John Thomas (Kerri) of Dexter; and his grandchildren, Melanie Davenport, Petrick Brown, Terry Brown, Angie Moss (Tim), Joshua Thomas (Dana) and Chan Thomas (Brenda). He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
