He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Silas Hobbs; his parents, John T. Hobbs Jr and Corinne Braswell Hobbs; his son-in-law Samuel McAlexander Jr.; and his sister Ruby Hobbs Holland.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Linda Hobbs McAlexander of Charlotte, NC; and his great grandchildren, Heather McAlexander Tomchuck (Christopher) of Broomfield, CO and Robert Forth Jr. (Tandy) of Charlotte, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Hospice or to the Dexter Assembly of God Building Fund.
