She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter F. Sheffield and Ida Mae Sheffield; her husband Loomis "Shine" Alligood; her children, Ann Brown and Ray Alligood; her son-in-law Wilbur Horne, Jr.; and her siblings, Carolyn Burkner, Claxton Sheffield and Walter Sheffield.

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Horne of Kathleen and Patsy Brantley (Virgil) of Dublin; her son-in-law Paul Brown of Dublin; and her grandchildren, Angie Horne of Warner Robins, Stephen Horne (Angelyn) of Perry, Bryan Glover of East Dublin, Brandon Glover (Jamie) of East Dublin, Kenny Alligood (Wanda) of Gray, Lisa Burton (Kenny) of Macon and Angie Harper (Todd) of Hampton. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
