He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Smith and Ioma Weehunt Smith; and his siblings, Dorothy Ussery, Delaine Bedingfield, Bernice Hodges and Tommy Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Darsey Smith of Dexter; his son Chris Smith (Misty Duffy) of Oklahoma City, OK; and his siblings, Roger Smith (Pat) of Rockledge and Shirley Tomlinson of North Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
