She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Albert Cordell and Fannie Shiflet Cordell; her husband Col. James R. "Jim" Hope; her grandson Adam Morris; and her siblings, Hugh Cordell and Minnie Sue Dyar.

She is survived by: her children, Dwain Williams (Sherry) of Dewy Rose and Diane Moon (Mike) of Anderson; her sister June C. Hilley of Hartwell; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth "Liz" Link (Sumter), Michael Moon and Adrianne Williams.
