It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Thornton of Dewy Rose, Georgia, who passed away on February 8, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his children, James Thomas Thornton, Talmadge Thornton, John Walter Thornton, Roy Lee Thornton, Joe Edward Blackwell, Wayne Thornton, Fannie Thornton Stenpen and Sallye Thornton. He is also survived by grandchildren great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Social distance and facemasks are required to attend the service.
