He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewitt Talmadge Floyd and Lou Alice Drake Floyd. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Jean Hart Floyd; his children, Paul Floyd of Athens and Kelly Harper of Dewy Rose; his siblings, Demechia Crocker of Dewy Rose and Deana Bailey of Dewy Rose; and his grandchildren, John Harper and Clara Alice Harper. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
