She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lester and Elzoria McAllister Kinsey; and her siblings, William David Kinsey, Homer "J. D." Kinsey, Vera Mae Shelnut and Evelyn Choosewood.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas W. Hooper of Demorest; her sons, Thomas Keith (Diane Hooper), William Eugene (Susie Hooper) and Tony Randall (Kristie Hooper); and her brothers, Waymon Kinsey of Mt. Airy and Roy Lee Kinsey of Oakwood. She is also survived by six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
