He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Nix Baxter of Demorest; his nephew Richard Wentz (Linda); his nieces, Karen Jacobsen (Tony), Kristen Petite, Robin Butts (Tom) and Sandy McElhenney (Rich); his brothers-in-law, Joe Nix (Victoria), Ray Nix (Teresa) and Alcide "Scooter" Nix (Carrie); his caregiver Tonya Oglesby; and his niece Alexandria "Lexi" Nix Erwin. He is also survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews.
