He was predeceased by: his parents, Quillian J. Greenway and Annie Sue Poole Greenway; his former wife Sandra Greenway; and his sisters, Brenda Bell and Beverly Roebuck.

He is survived by: his children, Jonathon Greenway of Demorest and Brittany Maichryc of Demorest; his grandchildren, Matthew J. Greenway, Haley Greenway, Aubrey Maichryc, Allison Maichryc, Zoey Maichryc and Maci Maichryc; his siblings, Scott Greenway of Alto, Susan Jaworski of Alto and Genieve Colston of Mt. Airy; his uncle Kenneth Poole; and his pet Leroy Greenway. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He loved to help those who needed it, and donated money to different organizations.
