With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lillie Mae Nix of Demorest, Georgia, born in Habersham, Georgia, who passed away on June 25, 2023 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lillie Mae Nix to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. T. Savage and Birdie Whitworth Savage; her husband Lloyd Burrell Nix; her son Lloyd "Junior" Nix; her siblings, J. V. Savage, Lewis Savage, Lavaughn Savage, Denise Gragg and Bernice Fry; and her grandsons, Greg Nix and Harvey Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald (Gail Nix), Tommy (Tiffany Nix), Peggy Wilson of Cornelia and JoAnn; and her children-in-law, Bruce Thomas of Demorest and Myra Nix of Demorest. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairfield Baptist Church, 2236 Highway 105, Demorest, GA 30535.
