He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell Hopkins and Elizabeth Callenback Hopkins. He is survived by: his girlfriend Charlotte E. Dodd of Demorest; his children, Samuel Odell Hopkins (Tina) of Cornelia, Dewey James Hopkins (Christine) of Toccoa, Shawn Byrd and Tracey Barcenas of Clayton; and his siblings, Jimmy Ray Hopkins, Thomas Hopkins of Habersham, Dorothy Hopkins and Darlene Woodall of Clayton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
