It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Dalton of Demorest, Georgia, born in Baldwin, Georgia, who passed away on March 13, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Dalton and Stella Duckett Dalton; and his grandsons, Jonathan Dalton and John Coggins. He is survived by: his wife Wanice Gale Ward Dalton; his children, Anthony Richard Dalton (Loretta) of Baldwin, Julie Batson of Demorest, Laurie Holtshouser of Demorest and Vicki Ellen Coggins of Madison; his grandchildren, David Holton, Jessica Herrin (Josh), Brittany Ferguson (Chad Gibson), Justin Ferguson, Caroline Jones (Eric) and Michael Batson; his great grandchildren, John Herrin, Kyle Ferguson, Lexi Ferguson and Haley Ferguson; and his great great grandchildren, Caiden Jones, Natalie Jones and Matthew Jones.

Hearing your tales of wearing a parachute to do a test flight on some kind of new aircraft was crazy! God Bless your memories. Prayers for family. Richard was a good man.
