It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garnett Lamon Burrell of Demorest, Georgia, born in Mount Airy, Georgia, who passed away on April 15, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Johnathan Burrell and Frances Maybell Loudermilk Burrell; his wife Reba Elizabeth Ramsey Burrell; his siblings, James Clinton "Bill" Burrell, J. Lloyd Burrell, Senna Starr, Minnie Stephens Shore, Stella Mae Norton and Monteree Norton; and his daughter-in-law Jeanne Murray Burrell.
He is survived by: his children, Walter Lamon Burrell (Peggy), Michael Charles Burrell of Mt. Airy, Gregory Burrell (Lynn) and Melissa Burrell Johnson; his son-in-law Jeff of Anderson, SC; and his sisters, Irene Poole of Chamblee and Wilma Mullinax of Mt. Airy. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
