He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Jewell Sawyer Stephens; his daughter Lisa Renee Stephens Stratton; and his parents, Albert Henry and Maize Ellis Stephens of Georgia. He is survived by: his children, Carol Stephens Brown (Bob) and Glenn Philip Stephens (Carole); his grandchildren, Michael (Michelle), Lindsey, David Brown (Jaime), Andrew and James Stephens; and his great grandchild Houston Samuel Brown. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory (2773 N Decatur Rd, Decatur, GA 30033). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Indian Creek Cemetery (452 N Indian Creek Dr, Clarkston, GA 30021).
