He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Garrett-Thrasher and George Caldwell Sr.; and his siblings, Samuel Caldwell Sr. (Sherill), Sanford Thrasher, Joyce Johnson and Mary Webb.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Caldwell; his daughters, Ronda Huston, Stephanie Caldwell, Vanessa Caldwell, Jerrica Caldwell and Kim White; his grandchildren, Quinyanna Huston, Te'Erica Huston, Joe Huston, Isaiah Barber, Samira Sulley and Sasha Alleyne; his great grandchildren, Ramiah Huston, Rashad Huston, Calvin Arnold, Rakiah Arnold and Charlotte Huston; his great great grandchild Rashawn Barnett; his siblings, George Caldwell Jr. (JoAnne), Jeff Caldwell (Melody), Anthony Smith, Carolyn Williams (Glenn) and Sandra Bunch (Richard); his aunt Florine Johnson; and his uncle Roosevelt Caldwell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Gus Thornhill's Funeral Home, Inc. Chapel (1315 Gus Thornhill Jr Dr, East Point, GA 30344). The lying in state was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the One Accord Community Church of God in Christ (5285 Flat Shoals Pkwy, Decatur, GA 30034). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at the Forest Hill Memorial Gardens (722 Conley Rd, Forest Park, GA 30297).
