Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Irene leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She is survived by: her children, Willie Benton, Bobbie J. Benton, Deborah Benton Bowman and Sheila Pope (Willie); and her grandchildren, Demetrius Mosley (Sharell), Shanika Benton, Taurus Benton (Keisha), Keisha Benton, Marquita Allen (Darnell) and Deunika Bowman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
