The memory of Howard L. Leaks (Decatur, Georgia), who passed away on April 16, 2025 at the age of 89, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the sacred silence of farewell, Howard is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Howard's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He is survived by: his wife Mary C. Leaks; and his children, Mona Leisa Harris, Cynthia Shy, Harold Leaks, Howard Leaks, David Walker, Carman Webb, Precious Leaks-Gutierrez, Giovanni Leaks and Haile Leaks. He is also survived by 39 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Donald Trimble Mortuary (1876 2nd Ave, Decatur, GA 30032). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ellis Chapel Cemetery (17880 GA-106, Toccoa, GA 30577).
