She is survived by: her children, Yazid Muhammad Mahdi and Alva Hanson; and her grandchildren, Zuberi Hanson, Maryam Mahdi, Ahmed Mahdi and Ibrahim Mahdi. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New Vision Christian Church (1779 Jefferson Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the New Grace Hill Cemetery (1931 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Birmingham, AL 35211).
