He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph David Henkel and Virginia Thompson Henkel; and his wife Nancy. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Henkel Walker (Scott Walker) of Atlanta and Ansley Henkel Brown (Kent Brown) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.; and his grandchildren, John Campbell Walker of Atlanta, Nancy Kate Walker of Charlotte and Sallie Walker of Birmingham, Alabama..
