He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth F. Cottingham and John C. Cottingham; his wife Joy Tuggle Cottingham of Stone Mountain, GA.; and his siblings, Beth Anderson (Bob) and Robert Alan Cottingham.
He is survived by: his siblings, Richard Cottingham (Nancy) of Seneca, SC, Jennie DuBose (David) of Newberry, SC and Steve Cottingham (Judy) of Anderson, SC.; and his uncle Andy Cottingham (Rhonda). He is also survived by twelve great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church (1722 Oak Grove Rd, Decatur, GA 30033). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to either the Oak Grove UMC Music Ministry (ogumc.org) or the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus (aso.org) in memory of Charles F. Cottingham.
