She was predeceased by: her parents, Burford Harris Jakes and Margaret June Smith Murphy; her brother Thomas Jakes; and her son William Evans Trawick. She is survived by: her husband William Frederick Trawick (Bill); her children, Lauren and Casey (Erin); her grandchildren, Ellie, Evan and Hazel; her sister Susan Jakes McBerry; her brothers-in-law, Lee Trawick (Sylvia), Steve Trawick (Kathy), Don Trawick (Charlotte) and Guy Trawick (Nancy); her nieces and nephews, Amanda Gearin, Caroline Wagner (Nick), Julie Paige (Josh), Kelly Trawick, Larry McBerry (Lindsey), TJ Jakes, Lee Trawick Jr., Adam Trawick, Jackson Trawick (Taylor), Matt Trawick (Ashley), Bryan Trawick (Anna) and Tony Mitchell (Annie); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, June Gearin, Blakely McBerry, Hayden McBerry, Eileen Paige and Bennett Mitchell.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home (2773 N Decatur Rd, Decatur, GA 30033). A reception was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory (2773 N Decatur Rd, Decatur, GA 30033).
