He is survived by: his wife Shirley Welch Carithers; his sisters, AnnieRuth Clark, Linda Whitaker and Sandra Church; his daughters, Susan Hunt (Jimmy) and Sheri Taylor (Darrel Patterson); his grandchildren, Melanie Taylor (Justin Barger), Elizabeth Hunt (Aaron Lovejoy), James "Cody" Hunt (Rebecca McIver) and Julia Hunt Barron (Jared); and his great grandchildren, Ansley Barger, Payton Barger, Kasie Barron, Gabriel Barron, Kaleigh Roberts, Taylor Lovejoy and Jordan Lovejoy.
