She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Heggie Whitaker; her parents, Robert E. Lee Carithers and Edna Jean Howard Carithers; her son-in-law Bart Toney; and her brothers, Robert Carithers, Huey Carithers and William Carithers.
She is survived by: her children, Quentin Whitaker (Brooke Dowling), Sonja Whitaker, Cheryl White (Mike), Sheila Toney and Cyndi Wells Condon (Bobby); her sisters, Annie Ruth Clark and Sandra Church; her grandchildren, Pamela Schuster (Tameca Woodall), Nicola Palma, Alisha Rabun (Russell Rogers), Kayla Rodgers, Javen Wells, Jeffrey Wells, Nicole Condon, Robert Condon, Elijah Whitaker and Luke Whitaker; her great grandchildren, McKenzie Brandt (Christian Giraldo), Jordan Robinson, Austin DeUnger, Sophia Ogletree, Rheya Rodgers and Raelyn Rodgers; and her great great grandchild Luka Giraldo.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Harlem Memorial Cemetery (310 S Bell St, Harlem, GA 30814).
