He was predeceased by: his son Shane Lamar Gay; and his siblings, Timmy Gay and Hazel Morris. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Gay; his daughters, Shawana Blackstone and Kimberly Melson (Jack); his siblings, Joe Gay (Judy), Herman Gay and Vonnie Kitchens (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Daniel Fayson (Sarah), Jamie Smith, Grace Blackstone, Baileigh Smith, Carter Smith, Tommy Edmunds and Midge Gay. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Bubba's memory.
