Though Rodney may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Sims and Anna Lois Sims; and his brother Randall Reed. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Jones Reed; his children, Michael "Mike" Reed (Alisha) of Dearing, Georgia, Alecia Reed (Jeff) of Wrens, Kim Norris of Augusta and Christun Ward (Danny) of Thomson, Georgia; and his siblings, Butch Reed (Pam) of Augusta, John Dooley Sims (Sheila) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Lynn Smith of Merryville. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beggs Funeral Home (799 Cobbham Rd, Thomson, GA 30824). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel (799 Cobbham Rd, Thomson, GA 30824).
