We are sad to announce that on January 13, 2022, at the age of 89, James Welborn Smith of Dearing, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Welborn Simon Smith and Mamie Agee Smith; and his son-in-law Richard Goolsby. He is survived by: his wife Linda Smith; his daughters, Carol Ann Goolsby, Susan Vaughn and Lisa Hensley (Jason); his sister Hazel Guy; and his niece Judy White. He is also survived by grandchildren, six great grandchildren.

The family will be observing social distancing, and masks are requested and appreciated. Due to the current national health concern, the family would appreciate phone calls, cards, texts, and e-mails.
