It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Carl Smith Jr. of Dearing, Georgia, born in Elberton, Georgia, who passed away on July 12, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Carl Smith, Sr. and Nettie Sue Rousey Stanley. He is survived by: his siblings, Wanda Webb of Bowman, Mark Smith of Grovetown, Cindy Poole of Dewy Rose, Faye Poole of Bowman, Lynne McTier, Jean Dove and Anne Rousey Glasscock; and his nieces and nephews, Krystle Kurtz, Marcus Smith, Katie Smith, Ashley Poole, Jeremy Webb and Brent Moon. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
