He was predeceased by : his parents, Vearl Waters and Flara Waters. He is survived by : his wife LaDonna Waters; his children, Shannon (Angela Waters), Casey Waters, Brian (Josie Mullins), Devin (Melissa Mullins), Carla Maxie and Marcus Maxie; and his sisters-in-law, Jo Waters, Button Waters and Dallas. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bearden Funeral Home (334 Hwy 53, Dawsonville, GA 30534). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel (334 Hwy 53, Dawsonville, GA 30534).
