He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Egbert Turner and Viola Tatum Turner; his wife Tammy "Tamer" Turner; his son David Turner; and his siblings, Carl Turner, Dorsey Turner, Hassle Turner, Hoyt Turner and Lois Turner.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Sheets (Richard) of Fairmount, Joe Turner (Barbara) of Nicholsville, Tina Evertt (Gene Hunter) of Jefferson, Cindy Hughes (Ronnie) of Fairmount, Leigh Turner Worley of Dawsonville, Mary Ann Beck of Jefferson and Shane Turner (Alana) of Dawsonville. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
