He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Swofford and Ida Mae Swofford. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Swofford of Dawsonville; his children, Steven Swofford (Kaytie) of Dawsonville, Stephanie Sheets of Cumming, Lora Davidson (Joe) of Gainesville, Joseph Pierce of Dahlonega and Patty Moon (Tim) of Gillsville; and his sisters, Mary Owens of Tennessee and Fannie Samples (Marvin) of Ellijay. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bearden Funeral Home (334 Hwy 53, Dawsonville, GA 30534). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel (334 Hwy 53, Dawsonville, GA 30534).
