Laura Jean Denard Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laura Jean Denard of Dawsonville, Georgia, who passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Elliott and Thena Elliott; her son Cary Denard; and her sister Thelma Byrd. She is survived by: her husband Clarence Denard; her children, Sherry (Reggie VanHoozer), Roswell, Renee (Steve Wright) and Stanley (Angie Denard); her daughter-in-law Michele Denard of Knoxville, TN; her grandchildren, Tara, Tim Hamby, Colby, Amber Denard, Justin Denard, Jennifer Howard, Jessica Matthews, Matthew, Shelby Oravetz, Heather Crain and Stephen Howard; her great grandchildren, Karley Hamby, Karson Hamby, Landyn Harris and Noah Oravetz; and her caregiver Michelle Gilreath.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bearden Funeral Home (334 Hwy 53, Dawsonville, GA 30534). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Methodist Church (100 Lumpkin Campground Rd N, Dawsonville, GA 30534).
