He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Jinks and Kate Jinks; his sons, James Jinks and Johnny Jinks; and his brother Robert Jinks.

He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Jinks; his children, Jeff Jinks, Teresa McPherson (Michael), Lynn Luce (Marlon) and Carol Jones (Richard); and his brother Clay Jinks. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

“My sincere condolences to each and every one of you. My name is Patti Rozzell and my daughter and I live next door to Bobbie and Leroy. I would often see him out in the yard and wave at him and holler HOWDY HANDSOME ! He would look up, put on that ear to ear grin, and wave back. I know each and every one of you are going through a very difficult time, but I promise you the time will come when you'll be together again. Our Lord up above is waiting with open arms, HE already has plans for Leroy !”
