It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Lamar Hamilton of Dawsonville, Georgia, born in Norcross, Georgia, who passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Loyce Loudermilk Hamilton; his son Lamar Hamilton; and his parents, Frank Hamilton Sr. and Julia Bolton Hamilton. He is survived by: his daughter Elaine Shelnutt (Jeff) of Auburn, GA; his daughter-in-law Melanie Grice Hamilton of Dacula, GA; his grandchildren, Lauren Russell, Jon Rezabek of Woodstock, GA, Marc Weaver (Whitney) of Richmond Hill, GA, Brandon Hamilton (Emily) of Winder, GA, Brittany Rich (Taylor) of Winder, GA, Ashley Bolton (Cody) of Old Fort, TN and Alan Shelnutt (Brooke) of Pine Mountain, GA.; his great grandchildren, Dutch Russell, Gabby Rezabek, Sam Rezabek, Mason Hamilton, Cooper Weaver, Natalie Rich, Josie Hamilton, Paisley Bolton, Carter Weaver and Laxton Bolton; his wife Bebee Susong; his siblings-in-law, Charles Disspain, Gail and Jay Walton; his nephew Jeremy (Meridith Forrester); and his niece Kimberly Disspain.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crowell Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory - Peachtree Corners Chapel (5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092). A graveside service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church located at 5100 South Old Peachtree Road, Peachtree Corners, Ga 30092.
