She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Louis; and her brother Charlie Will Shorter. She is survived by: her siblings, Ruby Dean Moon of Dawson, Margie Shorter-Haley of Ellenwood, Georgia and David Lee Shorter (Bernice) of Dawson, Georgia. She is also survived by two nieces; five nephews; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
